FAQ
Questions, answered.
What is Araam?
A wellness brand for Muslim women — pop-up Pilates and fitness classes, the Araam Mind app, community chapters across the US, and wellness products designed for Muslim needs.
Do I have to be Muslim to join?
Araam is designed for those who identify as Muslim — but anyone is welcome to join what we do.
Is it free to join?
Yes. Joining the Araam community is free. Events are ticketed individually.
Are classes really women-only?
Yes. Women-only rooms, covered windows, female instructors. And no photos during class when hijabs are off — that’s non-negotiable for us.
What kinds of classes do you run?
Both mat and reformer Pilates — and we’re just starting to add other class types too, like yoga and more, beginning in our most active cities. Watch your chapter’s page for what’s next.
I’ve never done Pilates. Can I come?
Most women at their first Araam class have never touched a reformer. Instructors guide you through everything. Come as you are.
What do events cost?
It varies by event — many community events are priced at exactly what they cost to run. Check your city’s chapter page for what’s coming up.
What’s on the app?
Araam Mind: reset tools for anxious moments (box breathing, grounding, muscle relaxation), guided questions for hard moments, walking affirmations, seated meditations, and multi-day Journeys — built for Muslim women, grounded in real psychology. Free to download on the App Store.
There’s no chapter in my city. Now what?
Join the community (free) and you’ll know the moment one opens — or apply to lead it yourself. Chapters can have up to 5 leaders, so you can also join the leadership of an existing chapter.
How do I partner with Araam?
Studios, cafes, vendors, creators, experts — see every way to work with Araam, or contact us.
Pop-Up Partnerships: Drink & Dessert Vendors
Bring your refreshments to our wellness events. We look for high-quality partners who offer thoughtful, nourishing treats that complement our sessions.
